At CCJ Remortgages we specialise in sourcing and arranging remortgages for borrowers with County Court Judgements on their credit history.
CCJs, along with arrears, past bankruptcy and multiple debts, can seriously impair a borrower's chances of finding a remortgage with a high-street lender. Instead homeowners will require the services of a lender who specialises in providing deals for individuals with blemishes on their credit record, known as sub-prime remortgages - however, in today's lender climate these specialist remortgages are increasingly difficult to arrange, especially for borrowers with little equity in their property.
County Court Judgements, often abbreviated to CCJs, are records of past disputes over money and will stay on an individual's credit history for up to six years.
Because a CCJ is registered when an individual is ordered to repay a sum of money, lenders will look unfavourably at these blemishes when considering remortgage applications, and will take it as an indicator of unreliability when repaying credit. As a result these individuals will be considered high-risk and may have difficulty getting any future applications for credit approved.
Remortgaging can be a sensible way of consolidating debts, reducing monthly outgoings, or a cost-effective method of releasing equity in a property and raising cash. However, due to the recent turmoil in the credit market, many lenders are unwilling to take risks when loaning money, and those who are considered high risk are the worst affected – particulary borrowers with blemished credit records.
CCJ Remortgages helps borrowers who wish to take advantage of remortgaging, but are struggling to arrange a deal due to their imperfect credit history. Owned and powered by The More Group, our whole of market status enables us to source and arrange cost-effective mortgages from the whole of the mortgage market. Our remortgage quote forms are secure, confidential and carry no obligation at any stage.
